Material stainless steel 347 also known as UNS S34700 is the austenitic stainless steel that is columbium based with very good resistance to general corrosion and with very good resistance in a strongly oxidizing atmosphere. Also, this alloy is having good intergranular corrosion resistance into the temperature range of 427-816 deg C of chromium carbide precipitation. Also, it is having good resistance to the oxidation and creep strength at temperature 1500 deg F and is possessing low-temperature toughness. SS 347H or UNS S340 is the greater carbon version of SS 347. It is developed for enhancing the property of creep resistance.
