Stainless steel 317 Instrumentation
Valves material is the austenitic nickel and chromium-based stainless steel
that is having good resistance to corrosion ability. The high molybdenum content is

common 300 series material that is possessing very good tensile strength and creeps strength
properties at the elevated temperature. Stainless steel 317L is the low carbon austenitic
nickel and chromium-based SS. It can be made in used in the applications where it is not
possible to anneal after the welding process and also at where the corrosion resistant is
looked-for. It is giving very good resistance to oxidation at continuous and intermittent
service at temperature 1700 deg F and 1600 deg F respectively
