Titanium Grade 2 Fasteners have a higher amount of components like iron and oxygen
as compared to other CP grades. These two components are used in Titanium
Gr.2 Fasteners to provide outstanding corrosion resistance, great
formability, and moderate strength. Grade 2 titanium has a good level of resistance
to oxidation, a strong resistance to mild reducing acids, and a moderate level of
strength. Titanium 3.7035 Fasteners can be utilized for the parts requiring strength
up to 400 degrees F as well as oxidation resistance to 600 degrees F.

Titanium Gr.2 Machine Screws have a strong ductility that allows for cold
formability. This can also be quickly machined, hot-worked, and welded. Hot work
should be done between 400 degrees F and 600 degrees F. Stress reduction should be
achieved by heating at a temperature between 900 degrees F and 1100 degrees F
accompanied by either forced air or slow cooling. Annealing temperatures range from
1200 degrees F to 1400 degrees F for 6 minutes to 2 hours, accompanied by cool air.
