The perfect combination of mechanical strength and chemical composition is the prime reason behinds its high level of demand in industries and commercial uses. These have high carbon content in it and it leads to enhanced creep properties. However, due to the presence of a high amount of chromium these valves are more corrosion resistant than most heat resistant alloys.
SS 304H Instrumentation Valves find its use in slightly oxidizing, cementing and thermal cycling applications. But they require that optimum service temperature to be reduced. Cryogenic applications make use of these valves often but with low magnetic permeability. These valves are common in use in fluid-based bed combustors and radiant tubes.
