Inconel UNS N06600 fasteners is a nickel-chromium alloy utilized for applications that require corrosion as well as high temperature resistance. The alloy's chromium content makes it better than industrially pure nickel under oxidizing pressures, and its high nickel content allows it to maintain significant resistance under reducing pressures. The nickel content also provides alkaline solutions outstanding resistance. The alloy has good tolerance to firmly oxidizing acids solutions. Thus, the oxidizing effect of breaking down the air alone is not sufficient to guarantee full resignation and opportunity from attack by air-saturated mineral acids and other concentrated organic acids. Hot working should be performed within the scope of 1600 degree F and 2250 degree F maintaining a strategic distance from any work between1200-1600 degree F due to flexibility diminishes in this temperature range.
