The types of SS UNS S31700 and UBNS S31703
forged fittings provided to various industrialists are SS threaded elbow, 90
deg socket weld elbow, equal & unequal tees, threaded cross, socket weld full
coupling, socket weld half coupling, threaded pipe nipples, threaded street elbows,
swage nipples, 45 deg threaded elbow, threaded union, threaded equal & unequal
cross, forged end pipe cap, socket weld reducing insert, threaded reducers, threaded
bushing, forged barrel nipple, threaded plug, etc. Stainless steel 317 material is
the austenitic nickel and chromium added stainless steel that is having very good
resistance to general corrosion. The content of a greater amount of molybdenum is
improving the material’s pitting resistance. It is one of the most resistances to
corrosion material of series 300 and is possessing very good tensile as well as
creep strength properties at the elevated temperatures.
Stainless
steel 317L is the nickel and chromium added low carbon
austenitic SS that one can use into the applications wherein after welding annealing
is not at all possible and wherein very good resistance to general corrosion is
required. It is giving very good oxidation resistance in continuous and intermittent
service temperatures 1700 deg F and 1600 deg F respectively.
