Types of Stainless Steel 317 Flanges
Flanges are no doubt one of the most required and important components without which transportation of fluid to a large distance are not possible. This is because they don’t allow the fluid to flow out by making a connection to the pipe. The connection is made using more equipment such as gaskets and bolts. The equipment all together produces a tight connection. Apart from making connections, the flanges are required for the wider purpose in the industries. The flanges are therefore available to many customers in different types. We produce threaded, socket weld, buttweld, and slip-on flanges. These are produced on a large scale as per the standard dimensions and custom as well.
Although a wide variety of materials is used for the production of SS 317L Flanges we widely prefer stainless steel of 317 grades. This is because of the properties it offers to the various industries. We offer the flanges to the chemical processing, thermal plants, power plants, marine industries, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, and more industries.
We produce them using stainless steel grade 317 which contains molybdenum, chromium, nickel, and low carbon. The flanges are produced using the most standard processes. However, heat treatment is not performed on the steel to produce flanges. The treatment thus results in high strength and hard flanges. Our socket weld flanges are therefore useful in slurry tanks, pressure vessels, stack liners, tanks, valves, piping systems, stack liners and more. There are perfect for working in severe service conditions for example in FGD systems.
Also, another popular grade of stainless steel that is SS 317L is used. It results into better properties of corrosion resistance. As a result, they become more resistant to harmful and harsh weather conditions under these industries. And to test their performance, we perform only specific and general tests on the SS 317/317L Flanges.
