Type stainless steel 316Ti is the titanium-based variation of stainless steel 316 alloys. This austenitic nickel and chromium-based stainless steel material are containing molybdenum that is increasing the resistance to corrosion. It is also having well-enhanced resistance to pitting chloride ion solution. Also, it is having very good strength at high temperatures. This material because of the addition of titanium can be made in used at the elevated sensitization temperature. Here resistance to general corrosion is well enhanced, specifically against acids like sulfuric, tartaric, acetic, hydrochloric and formic and also sulfates and alkaline chlorides.
