Incoloy 825 alloy is chromium, nickel and iron alloy with the addition of alloying elements like titanium, copper, and molybdenum. This nickel-based steel alloy’s chemical composition is designed for providing very good resistance to several corrosion atmospheres. It is somewhat similar to the alloy 800 but it is having well-enhanced resistance to the aqueous corrosion.

It is having very good resistance ability to the oxidizing and reducing acid to the stress corrosion cracking and to the local attacks such as crevice corrosion and pitting. Also, this material is resisting sulfuric acid as well as phosphoric acid. This nickel steel material is today used in many industrial applications.The applications of Incoloy 825 flanges are chemical processing, acid production, pollution control, gas, and oil piping, components in the pickling equipment such as heating coils, chains, tanks, etc and ion nuclear fuel reprocessing.
