grade will be used for both hot and cold forming. It's planned to be used in the
heat management process for improved fatigue strength. Both hot and cold working
processes induce this grade. The temperature in the hot working environment does not
exceed 920 degrees Celsius. These are machined using the electron beam machining
technique. Titanium Grade 2 Instrumentation Valves have a high chromium content and
a low nickel content, making them resistant to high temperatures in sulphur-bearing
conditions. These Titanium Grade 2 Instrumentation Valves have a low carbon
absorption tolerance and are not approved for use in extremely carburizing
conditions.
